des merveilles

Going somewhere, which I'm sure to do if I only walk long enough.

I'm from Australia and I'm passionate about travel, writing, and feminism. These are a few of my favourite things: NYC, Twin Peaks, Émile Zola, Stephen King, Broad City, It's Always Sunny, The X-Files, Peanuts, T. Rex, David Lynch, and Quentin Tarantino. I also love, love, love horror movies. I get shippy occasionally. These are my lady heroes. I have an Alice in Wonderland collection. I'm a child at heart and plan on staying that way. If you ever need someone to talk to, I'm your girl.

Je dois être fort.

just nicki’s verse because i got tired of always skipping to get there

even if you don’t like nicki or rap you have to admit this verse is pure art

Let’s not forget this is the verse Kanye almost cut because it shitted on every rapper in the game.

It was like that moment when I thought about taking Nicki’s verse off of “Monster” because I knew people would say that was the best verse on the best Hip Hop album of all time or arguably top ten albums of all time. And I would do all that work, eight months of work on “Dark Fantasy” and people to this day would say to me  ‘My favorite thing was Nicki Minaj’s verse.’” - Kanye West (x)

“In 1999, I guest starred on Friends. And I panicked. I couldn’t remember my lines and the writers were yelling things at me, and I just stood there, completely frozen. But Jennifer Aniston was there and she was playing my sister and she came and pulled me to the side and she said, ‘Hey, are you okay? You’re kind of freaking out a little bit.’ And I said, ‘No, no. I’m not okay. No.’ And she said, ‘Okay, hey, here… I’m gonna do a little trick.’ And she said, ‘You’re just gonna make a mistake in the next take. Make a mistake and you’re just gonna flub your line or whatever and the audience is gonna love it.’ And I said, ‘Really?’ And she goes, Yeah, because – don’t try to be perfect. Just be yourself.’ So the next time I went out there, I couldn’t remember my lines anyway, so I flubbed my line and I stopped and I let the audience just enjoy my mistakes and my failability. And she was totally right, they did love it, and I immediately felt comfortable. When I was thinking about Jen and what I wanted to say about Jen, that is the story that sort of captured Jen the best for me. That’s who she is.” –  Reese Witherspoon

I am Mac the way everyone else is at times. Mac is incredibly insecure and fights with self-aggrandizing behavior. Being selfish and self-indulgent comes from a place of fear and insecurity. That’s part of why people like the show. At the heart of all of this anger and yelling, you see these people who are sad, pathetic and in pain. Even though they are humanized by their own depravity, people would be turned off if they watched them succeed in life.”

Toxic masculinity hurts men, but there’s a big difference between women dealing with the constant threat of being raped, beaten, and killed by the men in their lives, and men not being able to cry.

Robert Jensen (via jezebeler)

Is this Robert Jensen the professor? The one thing I regret about leaving UT is not being able to take his class.
